This year marks the eighteenth year that both of us have been in our home, so as most homes do, eventually things beginning to wear out; Usually this happens at the most inopportune time, & often with little or no notice. For instance, last year both of us had to replace our refrigerator because the freezer side of it quit entirely working. Naturally, it quit entirely working while both of us were at task so both of us came beach house to all sorts of thawed & dripping things in there. The year before that, the microwave & range hood stopped entirely working at the same time & had to be replaced. This year, our a/c component gave up the ghost. Thankfully it happened while in the Springtime so the weather was nice outside. It also went against the proper tradition of poor timing & occurred while the local HVAC service & service supplier was having an inventory & inspection sale. Both of us called them up & the next afternoon the HVAC serviceman was out to look at our system. The compressor it seems, had seized up & fried itself internally. Both of us ended up having to buy a whole modern unit, so both of us decided to replace the handler & furnace component as well. With the amount both of us saved while in their sale, it still ended up being less than if both of us had just bought the compressor at respected price. The day after the HVAC serviceman came out, they delivered the modern component & had it installed in less than more than one hours after they got there. I am thankful that this happened while in that sale, because now both of us are back to a nice cool house.
