AC for an old house

Never in the a one hundred year history of this town has there ever been a flood, however that was true right up until last year. A huge flood hit the area & destroyed most of my family household. This is an ancestral home, mind you, one that was built when the area was first being settled! My great grandparents homesteaded the area, & handed the property down to their family. I had only been given the household the year before the flood actually hit, & now I was left with a decision to make. If I decided to rebuild the household I would need everything, from electrical grids to current plumbing, drywall, air ducts, & a completely current Heating, Ventilation, & A/C device. On the other hand, I could just sell the land & not have to fret about paying for a current gas furnace & a current household. I was not a very handy person, & my first instinct was to sell. Then I had a meeting with an Heating, Ventilation, & A/C service technician who changed my mind. This lady was elderly, & had known my parents for a number of years. She had even installed the first & the last gas oil furnaces the household had. This lady let me know how much she loved that outdated household, & how she would do all the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C labor at no cost if I decided to stay. Of course, the heating & cooling labor was just a tiny fraction of all the labor that needed to be taken care of. The gesture was so kind that I took the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C technician on her offer & decided to rebuild the place.
