The people I was with and I were able to store our things in this air conditioned space for about a week
Last year I went through one of the most stressful moves of our entire life with all of the housing debacle as the two of us experienced. The people I was with and I were trying to purchase our first home, but there was nothing but troubles when it came to closing. The sellers were reluctant to change things the two of us needed. Then they had the toil done, inproperly. Then the energy contractor insisted that they transfer an entire utility pole before the two of us can transfer into the house. And finally a sizable storm ripped through our section and brought down some trees that had to be removed from the property. All in all the two of us spent weeks waiting to get into the house; During this time our things were in a different purgatory. There is nowhere for us to put our stuff! Our old lease was expired, and the two of us could not get into the current house. In a panic, the two of us negotiated with the sellers and wound up storing everything in the garage of the current home. There were a few problems of keeping our things sequestered to the garage but luckily the air quality was not one of them. I guess, thanks to fine karma, the garage was well-insulated and affixed to the home’s central A/C system. This week that is long as the sellers kept the thermostat set to a sufficient temperature, the garage was also cool and dry. The people I was with and I were able to store our things in this air conditioned space for about a week. If the two of us didn’t have Heating and A/C service in the garage, I have no method what the two of us would have done with all of our belongings. The people I was with and I honestly could not afford an air-conditioned storage unit.
