AC keeps going this winter

Well, whenever my boyfriend and I moved into this house, both of us knew that both of us were going to need some extra temperature control upstairs where our dining rooms are located. It was clear that the top layer of our modern beach house did not have the best insulation to trap in moderate or frosty air, and that the windows felt pretty drafty, every one of us could tell that the air vents didn’t give enough power to control the temperature universally throughout all of the upstairs spaces, and that additional methods of air temperature control would be required to stay on top of our indoor environment. That’s when both of us invested in a little portable AC component to use in our own dining room, as a way to keep the air moderately frosty at night while both of us slept… Well, during the long and brutally moderate summer time months this cooling plan did the trick to keep up officially cool and fresh throughout the night, and both of us considered it to be a sound investment. What both of us didn’t realize until last night, however, was that the AC component was entirely still not working for us throughout this Winter time season, as well… See, when both of us laid down into bed last night and tried to get comfortable, it was clear that our room was way colder than the rest of the house. A draft was plaguing our bed, in particular, and both of us weren’t sure why the air felt so odd here. It took a moment or more than 2 before both of us tracked down the culprit – the portable AC component in the corner. Since the air transfer tube was still attached firmly from the cooling plan to the window, it was allowing frosty air to pour straight from the frigid outdoors, through the metal tubing, and into our room, and here both of us were trying to use the heat, and our AC was essentially still in operation the whole time!
