I’m at that point with my rental house that I will believe any wacky old wives tale you tell me, so long as it helps me to keep warm. Ever since winter hit, our oil furnace goes through the fuel necessary to keep us all warm and comfortable like its going out of style. This rental house I thought would be a great investment, especially since the HVAC has been updated a little over time. The owner when they lived here had a second fuel tank added to the HVAC system. This way, the rental house is able to hold twice the amount of oil than a normal person would buy. I had thought this would make it possible to get through the winters without getting my fuel for my oil furnace. Then instead of waiting till I heard about the first major drop in temperatures to pay for fuel, I made sure to make the order for the oil furnace many months ago, way back in the beginning of fall. If you buy oil when it’s still pretty warm out, often you find that the price is exponentially cheaper than it would be otherwise. However, despite my best efforts to save money on oil, it just isn’t working out. I thought it was me, not the oil furnace, so I went online to try and find the sources to my troubles. However despite my efforts being made to fix parts of the house which exhibit less than the ideal levels of heat, my boyfriend and I still have not been able to find the answer to our troubles.
