As the owner of an HVAC shop, I have to learn how I can trust

I have learned a lot since I became the owner of my own HVAC company.

When I was an HVAC technician, I would have never imagined that owning my own HVAC company could be so difficult, but it is.

It was so much easier being an HVAC technician that was working for an HVAC company rather than running my own. As I said before, there was a huge learning curve when I took over my own HVAC company. One of the hardest lessons that I had to learn was that I couldn’t trust everyone. Even as an HVAC technician, I was a naturally trusting guy. When I started my own HVAC company, I brought on a few HVAC technicians. I figured that since they began with me, they would become the natural leaders in the HVAC company that I was going to build. They were hard-working and ambitious. What I didn’t realize was that they were focused on making a profit using my HVAC company. After a few months into running my own business, the other HVAC technicians began stealing supplies and jobs right from under my nose. Finally, when I realized what they were doing, they left my HVAC company and started their own HVAC company. Thankfully, their business failed, but I learned that I couldn’t trust everyone as the owner of a business. Now, I only trust a few HVAC technicians in my company. There is only one other guy with a key, and this HVAC technician is also a family member of mine. I can’t trust that all of my employees have good intentions.
