Wow! I can’t believe I’m on week 5 of my organic tea series! Thank you for all the kind words and support.
In this new month, I would like to start off with an organic tea that I know you’ve heard of- that, of course, is mint tea.
Mint tea. My favorite. I was first introduced to mint tea in my semester abroad in Spain. All of the new, meaty, cuisine and frequency of meals had me feeling bloated and sluggish. I went to a restaurant where they had organic teas and ordered a cup of mint tea because I had read that it helped soothe the stomach. Boy, was that article correct! I have not stopped drinking mint tea since that day and I am excited to share some of mint tea’s benefits with you today. Mint tea can help with weight loss. Mint tea helps you feel full so you’ll eat less and- take it from me- the weight loss benefits alone warrant giving mint tea a try. Mint tea also helps you destress and sleep better. Caffeine free mint tea works by helping relax your muscles (which will both ease that stress tension in your shoulders and help you sleep!). I mentioned before that mint tea can soothe your stomach, but mint tea also aids in digestion because mint tea helps balance your body. Naturally, as an organic tea that helps balance your body, mint tea is great for the immune system. Mint tea helps fill in the gaps of what your body needs. Finally, one benefit you might not have considered, is that mint tea improves your breath! Mint in general is a great way to keep your breath smelling fresh but mint tea also helps by removing bacteria that contribute to stinky breath.
