Cranking up the thermostat

A month ago, when the weather was quite even plus not too tepid or too cold, I woke up a single afternoon plus discovered that the house was measuring about 88 degrees. I went to the thermostat plus pushed it lower, in the hopes that would make the a/c kick on as it is supposed to. Unfortunately, there was no luck. I called in the local heating plus cooling business to see if they could come out for an Heating plus A/C service visit plus determine what was going on with the a/c. They Heating plus A/C business was quite professional plus unquestionably simple to deal with. The a/c service serviceman called while enroute to make sure we knew she was on her way. She was pleasant when she arrived plus set about to do the a/c inspection straightaway. She was diligent while using her tools to open up the outdoor a/c unit plus was careful not to drag dirt or grease when she came into the house. After inspecting the air vents, the ducts, plus the compressor, she gave us the bad news. The Heating plus A/C system repairs would be expansive. She recommended that it might be a great program to substitute the Heating plus A/C rather than service it, since the service costs would be high. All of us decided we would need some time to guess it over, plus since the weather was so perfect, we did not hurry ourselves along. Now, though, it is getting quite chilly at evening, plus I am in need of a furnace than works well. The time has come to make a decision. Should we service or substitute the Heating plus A/C system?
