Determining the right temperature

I was visiting my Uncle when the weather report came on.

At one point my uncle hollered at the weatherperson and said, just tell me what the temperature is! Thinking I was so smart I decided to go to the weather website on my smartphone and found the app.

But, right below the calculator was a symbol and a help button. What are the formulas for the heat index script? The formula was a jumble of numbers that looked to me like Egyptian symbols, and fortunately, there are people much smarter than I am to decipher it. I agree with my Uncle. The important stuff for people to know with central Heating and A/C systems is that the temperature of the air plus the amount of water vapor it holds determine if we feel hot, cold or just right. And that is all absolutely self-explanatory to understand! Warmer air holds more water vapor than cold air. Also, because atmospheric pressure is absolutely constant, the water holding capacity at any 1 temperature cannot change. The crazy part in all of this is that every one of us all sense heat plus cold in strange ways. For most people, relative humidity and 70 degree temperatures are the most comfortable times. This will prevent mold complications or that clammy, wet feeling in the house. An efficient Heating and A/C system will act as a dehumidifier in humid weather conditions. A humidifier raises humidity in dry weather! Please don’t use the A/C as a humidifier though.
