I always sleep later in the Winter, but in the Summer, I can see the sunlight shining in my front window. I get up early because I want to go outside and do some yard work. I hurry through my online stuff, do a quick work out and right away get out there. I usually get up around 8 in the am to beat the heat as well. In the Winter, I am lucky to get up earlier than 11! What is my motivation for getting up? It is grey, snowy and very wet outside. I don’t want to go outside in the cold anymore, all I need to do is work out, so no pressure to get up, I have all day… My home is additionally 3 floors, each floor has a furnace system, then the downstairs has a gas fireplace and the upstairs has an electric heater. The electric furnace is way better at providing heat though. The upstairs gets toasty moderate warm in the day. I also have heated blankets, a heated mattress pad and a little space heater in my room just in case. Waking up on a cold Winter time day is not so terrible in that situation. I am so moderate warm and snuggle with the quality heating equipment. Why would I want to leave that moderate warm nest? I always think about how cold it is going to be downstairs and there is no reason to get up, since I do this all Winter time long, I hardly get any stuff done for the season at all. I really should have been born a bear and just hibernate all Winter time long.
