Finally living on my own was a beautiful thing

Of course my roommates also did stupid things like having parties and making too much noise in the neighborhood.

When I started going to school to become an HVAC technician, I decided to live in a place where I could save enough money. The plan was to carry myself through my school until I could get a good job as an HVAC professional. In order to save money, I had to get roommates. While we all didn’t see eye to eye on everything, we were able to respect one another to a certain degree. We bumped heads on occasion, but I guess that’s a common thing when you have roommates. There was at least one thing everybody was able to agree on and that was the temperature control settings. I was thankful that nobody else wanted to pay for costly heating and cooling bills, so we all chipped in on a smart thermostat. This allowed us all to make sure the temperature control settings were always reasonable. We even had a humidifier installed in the home to help with the comfort of the house and the temperature control settings. We also had the air filters changed regularly to help the HVAC system run at maximum efficiency. Of course my roommates also did stupid things like having parties and making too much noise in the neighborhood. I couldn’t tell you how many times the cops came over to the house. I would mostly just try to study for my exams and I was able to get my HVAC certification after about a year. Fortunately, the trade school I went to it’s not like a traditional 4 year college. I was able to get my own place after getting into my career, and it felt wonderful to live on my own and have plenty of money.
