Finding A Used Moore Heater Is nearly impossible

I prefer to buy second hand things whenever possible.

  • It’s a great way to save money! I have always been conscientious about this kind of thing.

However, I’m currently searching for a second gas heater for sale. I’m not looking for a central gas furnace. That type of system would be difficult to find second hand. I would be unable to install it without the help of a professional HVAC contractor. I am hunting for an old Moore heater which would supplement the central heating system. I could install the heater in the basement. It would keep our floors in the house nice and warm and allow lower thermostat settings. These heaters are extremely reliable. Even if the power goes out, this type of heater continues to operate. They require no maintenance and ten to last for over fifty years. I have been watching for this type of heater online and in the newspaper. If I find one, they are priced so high that I can’t afford it. Since they don’t manufacture Moore heaters anymore, I need to find a used model. I have not found any used options that suit my budget and needs. I have also looked into other types of space heaters, but I’m not happy with them. They typically operate on electricity. If there’s a power outage, we’re left without heat. When the outside temperature is down to ten below zero, we worry about water pipes freezing and bursting. It’s difficult to remain in the house without heat. I’d like to know that I’d have one small source of heat I could depend on. Before next Winter comes around, I hope to have some type of smaller heater in place to work in tandem with the furnace. I believe it could save me a lot of money. Saving energy adds up to saving money! I think that with a Moore heater, I could trim energy use by almost thirty percent.
