I start perspiring in the room before I even finished our warm-up session with that oil furnace roaring at a high setting
In the winter time people like to run their heating system. I get that older people have poor circulation and need more heating as well. We are a weaker generation that wants quality heating more and more too. What I don’t get is why people want heating when they work out. A fitting example of this is while I was in my local gym, it was heated to around 75 degrees. When you work out, your bodies heat up like an oil furnace. You are able to withstand colder temperatures due to this. This is why we pound AC too. This is precisely why I don’t understand how people demand that the gym furnaces be set so high while I was in the Winter weeks. The owners have to keep the pipes from freezing and our fingers from becoming numb while in a workout. I get that. So a little AC rather than a lot. But, why is it set to a 76 or 90-degree temperature control setting? This is frankly obnoxious. I start perspiring in the room before I even finished our warm-up session with that oil furnace roaring at a high setting. I frankly would rather have a worked out in my home with an a/c blowing in front of our face rather than a workout in a heated temperature like that room. Unfortunately, when I try to ask management to turn the temperature control down so that I might be a bit more comfortable, they inform me that the elderly men and women complain that it is too frigid in the room! Too frigid are you kidding me!? It’s 90 degrees and you are walking on a treadmill with a book.
