Hard to swap out the HVAC

One of the bigger challenges I’ve had to tackle, as an ongoing homeowner, is the seemingly endless process of picking appliances for your house. As is, it starts small, similar to any process. At first you’re buying a modern washer and dryer combo unit for your clothes, as the one you inherited from your parents 11 years ago has finally died. From there, you’ll then buy a modern microwave, but instead it’s going to be this extravagant high-efficiency microwave because you’ve realized how much power the microwave uses just to heat up dinner! Before you even realize it, an entire ensemble of dining room appliances is being bought during a new renovation project, and now you’re seeing so many energy ratings that you’re not sure which is which anymore. However as complex and complicated as all that can be, nothing compares to all the intricacies of buying a modern heating, ventilation in addition to A/C system for your home! For me, that was a full year process, as I had to get quotes for air condensing and compressing units, and even price estimates for delivery and replacement… The same had to be done for the modern furnace, and that wasn’t even initiated until we knew what kind of unit we all wanted! On top of this, I even had to replace practically all of our home’s air ducts due to prior infestations, bad patch works, and general wear and tear as well. I couldn’t just say I wanted new air ducts though. I had to even choose either fiberglass ducts, or small circular metal air ducts that circulated the air faster, which also left myself and others prone to blockages and debris buildup. The icing on the cake was picking a newer thermostat, as there are literally hundreds of choices on the market; Decisions, decisions!
