Having to switch heater on and off

Of all the seasons, Fall is by far our family’s preferred. The changing colors of the trees and the leaves falling everywhere are such amazing things to experience.  I’ve always loved raking up big ‘ol piles of leaves to jump into and scatter back all around the yard, and throwing them up into the air pretending it’s raining fall colors. Fall mornings are the perfect temperature too, a nice cool, crisp breeze but clear sunny skies to keep you just comfortable enough. The only setback to Fall is when the sunshine goes down, and that breeze starts to bite at you and send you into fits of shivers. Heading inside to get warm and cozy and grab a cup of cocoa and watch a movie is almost as good as the Fall mornings.  Unless of course you forget to have your heating system maintained before having to switch it from blasting cold air for the summertime to heating things up. That terrible burning aroma can fill the entire home in hours, making you nauseous and worried that the house is going to catch fire. Two years in a row, we made this mistake and ended up having to switch the heating system off and just try and use the fireplace to stay warm on those chilly nights. Although it’s nice to have the family camped out together in the living room, curled up by the fire, we prefer the comfort of our own beds. We make it a point now to schedule the necessary services for our HVAC unit to avoid these complications and keep our house the perfect temperature throughout the changing seasons.
