Home comfort is important

Getting old isn’t for the weak, how many times have both of us heard people say this deranged joke? Well, when I was young, I just didn’t guess how true that saying really is! Now that I am clearly into middle age as well as being plagued with troubles that I have never been forced to face before, I agree that getting older is very not for the weak of body or weak of spirit, and i now have arthritis in our knees, hips, as well as back, then let myself and others tell you, nothing is fun when you have arthritis, and if I am uncomfortable in any way at all, I am irritated. I used to dream of having the time to be active outdoors as well as play golf or hike in the woods or go to outdoor festival. Now, though, I would rather just stay house in the air conditioning, then reading a book in front of the cooling system vent on a blazing southern Wednesday day is better than doing anything outside without any cooling! Some businesses actually try to operate without using the cooling system, the place where I used to get my nails done, for example. I think they are trying to save some costs by turning off the cooling system as well as opening the front door, but if there is no AC, there is no me… Want to go sit by the river and have a little picnic? No thanks, I appreciate dinner in an air conditioned restaurant with tablecloths. Want to walk through the park? No thanks, let’s just go in that building by the beach and play a game of cards while both of us soak up the city’s air conditioning. Honestly, between the pain of arthritis as well as the over-fifty sizzling flashes, I really just want to stay inside as well as do anything that involves the a/c.
