A few days after the school year ended, I started having problems with the A/C unit. The kids were home all day, and the A/C unit was running constantly. When I noticed the A/C unit was running all day, I decided to make an appointment with the HVAC contractor in our area. I was certain that we had a serious problem. I didn’t want the issue to become a significant problem. Our A/C unit was a few years old, and still under warranty for major issues. I made an appointment for last Tuesday morning. The appointment was scheduled for 10 in the morning. Sometime around 9, I received a call from my husband. He was on his way to work, and the car broke down. He needed me to pick him up from the car dealership. I thought I could make it to the dealership and back, before the HVAC contractor arrived for the scheduled appointment. I left both of the kids home, and drove as quickly as the law would allow. I picked up my husband, and traffic was moving swiftly. My son called on the phone, when I was a few miles away from the house. The HVAC contractor arrived a few moments early. When there was no adult in the home, the HVAC contractor decided to leave. I immediately contacted the service company, and told them I was a few miles away from the house. Luckily, the contractor was still in the neighborhood,. He turned the truck around and came back to look at our HVAC unit.
