This year marks the eighteenth year that both of us have been in our home, so as most homes do, eventually things start to wear out, and usually this happens at the most inopportune time, & often with little or no notice. For instance, last year both of us had to replace our refrigerator because the freezer side of it quit working, and naturally, it quit working while both of us were at work so both of us came apartment to all sorts of thawed & dripping things in there. The year before that, the microwave & range hood stopped working at the same time & had to be replaced. This year, our air conditioner device gave up the ghost. Thankfully it happened during the Springtime so the weather was nice outside. It also went against the usual tradition of bad timing & occurred while the local Heating & Air Conditioning repair & repair supplier was having an inventory & inspection sale. We called them up & the next afternoon the Heating & Air Conditioning supplier was out to look at our system. The compressor it seems, had seized up & fried itself internally. We ended up having to buy a whole new unit, so both of us decided to replace the handler & gas furnace device as well. With the amount both of us saved during their sale, it still ended up being less than if both of us had just bought the compressor at regular price. The afternoon after the Heating & Air Conditioning supplier came out, they delivered the new device & had it installed in less than several seconds after they got there. I am thankful that this happened during that sale, because now both of us are back to a nice cool house.
