I’m really a virtuous, merciful and generous lady. Some people may disagree, but I pride myself in my generosity. I know, this all deems me as an egotistical loon, but I’ve learned to have a little bit of self confidence compared to how I was raised. One instance that kind of emphasizes my generosity was when I helped out a neighbor recently. She was having trouble staying out of the financial deep-end, so I was eager to help out in any way I could. She told me about how she was having trouble staying hot inside of her small household, since her heating component had recently gone out on her. She was unable to spend money for a service tech to repair her system, which broke my heart! First I offered a place to stay to the sweet lady, but she refused. Like me, this sweet little old woman still had as much pride as a college athlete! I felt comfortable offering to cover her heating service, which blew her away! She thanked me repeatedly for my generosity and humbly accepted my offer of assistance. Here we are a month later, and she has a really comfortable house thanks to her fully functional heating and air system. I’m really pleased and happy with myself for being able to give back to the people that have given me so much happiness over the years, or even my neighbors who need help in a pinch. I’m thankful to be in the position that I’m currently, because it’s hard to take care of others if you can’t take care of yourself!
