Last weekend when I went lake home to visit our Grandparents both of us ended up having a conversation about what life was prefer when they were younger.
I am harshly close with our Grandparents as well as I like chatting with them because they are so wise as well as clever, however one thing that I somehow had never asked them was their childhood.
This conversation that I had with them during those two afternoons certainly opened our eyup as well as made me thankful to have what I have. Back when our Grandparents were kids they lived in small farmhouses out in the middle of the south, however despite living in some of the most hot as well as humid weather conditions in the country they had no A/C, no fans, nothing other than taking a dip in the pond. Their parents made a good living back in those afternoons, however in most cases costly things such as A/C was reserved almost exclusively for the rich. In fact, A/C was so scarce that neither of them experienced A/C until they were kids. My Grandpa told me so numerous stories about when he would toil outside with his father from dawn until dusk with no A/C, no music, as well as no breaks. The next day they would wake up at the crack of dawn as well as do it all over again. I had recently been feeling harshly overwhelmed at school as well as feeling as if I had the weight of the world on our shoulders, however after talking to our Grandparents I am starting to realize just how great I have it.
