I enjoy the convenience of residing in the inner city. Everything that I need is right around the corner. I grew up as a country bumpkin. The two of us lived so far out of neighborhood that it took almost an hour just to get to the grocery store. The two of us took shopping trips every multiple weeks to buy clothes or other non-grocery items. As a child, I didn’t mind residing so far out of town, however now that I have a family and an outside job, I am honestly thrilled that I don’t live so far out of the city. Our greatest challenge about residing in the neighborhood is the cost. Where the two of us live, housing is simply outrageous, and the two of us are typically looking for ways to save money. Something that has saved us a lot of money is simply turning off the air conditioning when the two of us leave the house. My hubby and I both work outside the home, and all of our children are in school, so there is no need to have the air conditioning running all morning long when no a single is home. The two of us also started turning off the air conditioning at evening while are sleeping, and instead the two of us just open the windows to stay cool. These 2 things have saved us more money than the two of us ever thought they would. Now, the two of us only use our air conditioning in the evenings and on the weekends. Although air conditioning is honestly a blessing to have, it isn’t necessary to have it on 24/7. Saving money isn’t easy, however easy things enjoy this can make a big difference.
