I killed the HVAC unit

My partner takes care of the yard.  He has always been the more green thumbed of the two of us.  I love a landscaped yard. I just don’t like putting the effort into it like my man does.  I sort of prefer the lounging in the HVAC coolness. He is all sort of zen about the backyard.  Everything gets trimmed and accentuated in the most subtle way. It really is amazing how the whole backyard flows together.  Now that the kids are out of the house, we spend a great deal of time in the peacefulness of nature. But, it doesn’t come easy.  That man will be out there busting his butt before breakfast until it gets hot. Then it’s back out there in the evening. I attempted to lend my decorative spirit to the yard as a whole.  It feels sort of wrong not to contribute at least a little bit. So, I went online to order a surprise. As soon as I received the package, I snuck outside to put it on. I found this lovely little cover to go over that unsightly HVAC compressor.  My husband created a 3 foot HVAC buffer zone with beautifully colored gravel. The HVAC cover I found compliments those colors nearly perfectly. However, we woke up this morning to no air conditioning. My heart sank to my toes. And, for good reason because I killed the HVAC unit with that cover!  I didn’t realize the cover only went over an A/C compressor during the winter. The beautiful HVAC cover had choked out the HVAC system. What was I thinking? Of course, the HVAC unit needs airflow and lots of it. The HVAC guy is on the way. I sure hope the HVAC system is repairable. My husband isn’t feeling so zen right now.
