My parents were born and raised way down South, and that is all that they ever knew, and my Mom refused to move up North when he had the opportunity about twenty years ago, but i was just a little boy at the time, so I did not understand why our Mom did not want to move… All I knew was that there was snow up North where the two of us could have moved, and I had never easily seen snow in man before.
I wanted to move up North so badly, but well, I ended up going to school and meeting the guy of our dreams who just so happened to be a northerner.
When the two of us finished our degrees, the two of us got married and moved up north! He already had a task secured in the town that he grew up in, so it was obvious that the two of us had to live up North and not down South with our family. I do miss our family, although I easily love living up North. I love the cool weather. My hubby and I have never used an A/C in our house. It is just not moderate enough to need an A/C even in the middle of the summer. I just put a couple of fans in the windows downstairs, and it keeps the house at a comfortable temperature, the people I was with and I do have to use the gas furnace about numerous-fourths of the year though because it gets quite freezing here, although I love it, and I love the snow just as I thought that I would as a little boy.
