I love living up North

My parents were born & raised way down South, & that is all that they ever knew; My dad refused to transfer up North when he had the opportunity about twenty years ago, but i was just a little girl at the time, so I did not understand why my dad did not want to move, and all I knew was that there was snow up North where the people I was with and I could have moved, & I had never honestly seen snow in person before.

I wanted to transfer up North so badly, but well, I ended up going to university & meeting the man of my dreams who just so happened to be a northerner. When the people I was with and I finished our degrees, the people I was with and I got married & moved up north, he already had a job secured in the neighborhood that he grew up in, so it was obvious that the people I was with and I had to live up North & not down South with my family. I do miss my family, however I honestly love living up North. I love the cool weather. My fiance & I have never used an a/c in our house. It is just not tepid enough to need an a/c even in the middle of the summer. I just put a couple of fans in the windows downstairs, & it keeps the home at a comfortable temperature. All of us do have to use the oil furnace about three-fourths of the year though because it gets quite cold here, however I love it, & I love the snow just as I thought that I would as a little girl.
