I may have taken the system for granted

After dealing with snow shoveling and frigid winter seasons, I decided to make a life and career change. I moved to a beautiful place with a warm temperature almost every month of the year. I have to say, getting in my car at 7am without having to dig my car out or going for an evening run in December has been so great for my quality of life. I would make that same decision all over again. However, in saying that, 12 warm months a year means a demand for a great AC system. Even if you only have two warm months, without an AC system that functions at top-notch quality, it could turn out to be the longest 2 months of your life! To save some money on electricity, I only turn the air on overnight to keep me cool during my slumber; then the next morning when I leave for work, I keep the air off until I get home and want to sit comfortably in my cool home. Occasionally though, I have my “UH OH!” moments and forget to turn the air down when I depart my house! Which then causes me to head home and turn it off so it won’t be running all day without purpose! The ability to have my thermostat connected to my cell phone would save me numerous trips back home when I have my forgetful moments or when I am heading home from travel and want to come home to an already cool setting. In addition, when I have guests that may not feel comfortable fussing with the thermostat on their own and would prefer I do it. It would resolve many evils and help keep me keep my place in the perfect condition of comfort! Technology is ever evolving, so why shouldn’t we all? Wifi capabilities are everywhere; in your home, at the coffee shop next door, even some cars have it! Having the thermostat connected to my wifi connection at home, to me, seems energy and cost efficient and would assure me of a quicker cooling room. Saving green everywhere.
