Purchasing & installing a central cooling plan into our home cost a lot more than I expected, i got talked into buying a top-of-the-line air conditioner, which was super extravagant. I wanted to take advantage of the higher SEER rating & convenient features such as zone control & wireless connectivityâ€¦ Because of this, I was forced to take out a loan & make yearly payments. The Heating, Ventilation, & A/C company commanded that I enroll in a preventative repair system with her business. I was unwilling to spend yet more money & declined. I made sure to change the air filter officially & planned to schedule professional repair after a few years, since the air conditioner only operates for about many weeks per year, I assumed it would run just fine separate from repair for at least many years, then unfortunately, the air conditioner quit after only 4 years of operation! When I called for air conditioner repair, the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C worker took the plan apart & showed myself and others the buildup of debris inside. There was an spine-chilling amount of dust, mold, mildew & algae! Every time the air conditioner started up, it was introducing these harmful contaminants into our family’s breathing air. Plus, the debris was blocking airflow, placing added strain on components. This resulted in the malfunction & need to replace several legitimately extravagant parts. Because I had failed to keep up with profession repair every year, the manufacturer’s warranty was void. I had to pay the repairs myself. I have now enrolled in the repair protection plan, but a licensed worker comes to the condo every Spring to inspect, disinfect & adjust the air conditioner.
