Although exercise is not our forte, I think that it’s nice for me, so I do it as often as I can. I started running in university, plus I haven’t seemed to be able to get out of it since then. It’s really because some of our best friends are runners. My best friend, Abby, runs about various miles a morning on top of his other workouts. I’m not quite as eccentric as Abby is, although I do our best to run about more than two miles per morning. I’m not really sure how Abby ever talked myself and others into it, but he somehow convinced myself and others to take a trip to South America to run this super marathon thing with her. I couldn’t suppose it when the word “yup” came out of our mouth in response to his asking myself and others to make the trip with her. Before the people I was with and I knew it, the people I was with and I were off to South America to run a marathon. Surprisingly, the marathon itself wasn’t too bad. Both of us both made it through pretty easily. It was, however, at the gym the few days after the marathon that really got me. My appreciation for a/c grew immensely during those days. For some reason, they were totally against running a/cs at the gym the people I was with and I attended, plus it was literally 1 of the worst experiences of our life. Working out is strenuous enough on its own separate from adding a ninety-5 degree room to it. By the time the people I was with and I got back to the U.S. I was so happy to workout in an air conditioned room that I went straight to the gym right after I left the airport.
