I’d love to say that I’m a generous guy. Some people may disagree but I sort of pride myself in my generosity. This may deem me as a bit of an egotistical or prideful man, but I’ve garnered a ton of self-confidence since my childhood. One example of my generosity was when I was able to help out a friend recently. He was having trouble staying afloat financially, so I was eager to help out in any way I could. He told me about how he was actually having trouble staying hot inside of his small household. His heating equipment had recently gone out on him and he was unable to pay for a heating and a/c service company to provide maintenance to his system. First I offered him a location to stay, but when both of us found out he was unable to utilize public transportation to get to his work, I figured that was not a valid option. Next I felt comfortable offering to pay for his heating maintenance instead. He was blown away by my generosity, and humbly yet happily accepted my offer for assistance. Here both of us are a week later, and he has a comfortable abode courtesy of a generous friend. I’m pleased and cheerful for being able to give back to the people that have given me so much happiness over the years. I’m thankful to be in the position that I’m in, otherwise I might not be able to be the helpful soul I’m today. Then again, you don’t always have to give people money to help them – sometimes, you just need to be there for someone.
