I remember when I was younger, one of the most memorable field trips we had in school was going to an HVAC repair company. This HVAC company was awesome and the HVAC technicians really knew their stuff. The tour guide was hilarious and was telling all kinds of jokes. Even our teacher was laughing like crazy at certain times during the field trip. We learned a great deal about different types of heating and cooling technology. We learned the importance of HVAC system maintenance such as changing the air filter to the system regularly. I asked about the best type of air filters and the guy said you should opt for HEPA air filters if you can afford them. He said they were a little bit pricey but they were really great for your system and your air quality. Somebody asked about air quality and he explained the air quality is how clean and comfortable the air is in your living environment. He explained that you need to keep the humidity levels at a certain setting and remove all the dirt, debris and pet dander from the air to be healthy in your own home. I was so fascinated with all of this stuff that I told my parents when I got home that I wanted to be an HVAC technician one of these days. My parents thought that was great that I was interested in pursuing something like that. Eventually my father helped me find this excellent trade school where I was able to become HVAC certified! Now I am living my dream as an HVAC technician and I love what I do!
