Making big mistakes at work

I have a job working for a digital marketing contractor and I handle social media postings; I do google, facebook, contractor supervisor and twitter posting for weird companies.

  • It is a very simple task and periodically quite monotonous, every contractor is basically the same, they offer similar services around the same prices.

The biggest overall difference is the name and where they are, and sporadically I need to be real careful however, however certain companies offer 24 eighth emergency repair while others only do same day service, a very good Heating and Air Conditioning contractor will have NATE certified workers. Sporadically the companies have Carrier, Bryant or Trane products, but not every single contractor is identical though! Recently I messed up the moment that I posted on a social media account. The people I was with and I have 2 customers with the word Blue in the name, one of the companies has Carrier products and undergoes training so they are permitted to use the tools that partner up with the brand. They are all NATE certified and do yearly training. The other contractor is not certified, licensed and they don’t even offer emergency service. With that being said, I got these 2 companies confused. I put the wrong information on the unofficial site. Obviously the highly qualified contractor was severely angry that I was talking about the wrong information on their facebook. Also, I wrote the name of the wrong contractor on their website. I found out the 2 businesses are competitors and I was actually promoting the competition on their website. I got in a lot of trouble at work for that 1. Now I am legitimately careful when I read the names of all companies. I don’t want to make anyone else mad at me.
