The responsibilities of my work take me all over the world. I spend the majority of my time traveling. I endure long hours of sitting in overheated airport terminals plus shivering on lengthy flights across the country. I live out of hotel rooms with lumpy beds, scratchy sheets, and awful indoor air pollen levels. Because of the lifestyle, I’ve come to prioritize the importance of temperature control and air quality. I’ve l discovered that the more extravagant hotels tend to have better heating and cooling units. When the heating and cooling plan maintains an even temperature plus effectively filters the air, I sleep better and feel healthier. Being exposed to the contaminated air quality of airports, planes, taxis, and rental cars, I often end up with headaches, sore throats, and itchy eyes. The hotel occasionally provides relief, but occasionally makes my symptoms much worse. I always read reviews online and call ahead to ensure there’s modern, working heating/cooling unit within the room. I need access and control over a thermostat so that I can regulate temperature to my preference. I prefer when the heating/cooling unit offers extra features, such as a range of fan speeds, humidity control, plus ventilation. My experiences on the road have led me to invest quite a bit into a state-of-the-art temperature control plan for our home. Although I’m not there all that often, I think the added cost of zone control, wind speed technology and a smart control unit were totally worth it. I am able to keep track of the plan from my lap top, adjust settings, and consistently return home to the perfect comfort level.
