Memories ruined by the heat

A few years ago my neighbor had a small barn built on her property.

She said that it was going to be used for storage plus within no time she had it filled to the brim.

She had stuff from her parents’ lake house plus her Grandparents too that needed to be kept plus she said she didn’t want to spend money for a climate controlled storage device any longer. She assumed that the items would be nice so long as they were kept up off the ground on shelves, many of the items were keepsake a singles plus photos too. I warned him that the change of temperature from summer time to Winter time plus back to summer time could disfigure these things although she insisted that it would be fine. After a year or so she wanted to go through some of the boxes plus pass items on to her youngsters. When she started looking through things she realized that numerous had mildewed because of the humidity that had built up in the shed when it constantly heated plus cooled. This is why her parents had kept the items in a climate controlled space. Precious memories were now lost plus items ruined that could not be replaced. I felt bad for him when she told me about it plus recommended that she put in some sort of small dehumidifier at the undoubtedly least to help control the humidity. The barn has electricity anyway so it wouldn’t be difficult to do this plus it could help to preserve the items that were not lost. Either that, or, she could transfer all of the stuff into her basement where it would be safe too. Of course she doesn’t want to give up her girl cave for that.
