My attic is an empty space

When I moved out of my parents’ house, they made myself and others promise to come back as well as help them with different jobs around the apartment from time to time. I shrugged, but agreed, knowing that they would always pay myself and others back with a delicious home-cooked supper. While I did miss the bustle of other people in the house, I absolutely didn’t miss how chilly frigid it was in that house! See, my parents were originally from the South, as well as after decades of tepid Summers as well as mild Winters, they wanted to move up North as well as live in a perpetually frigid weather conditions. I’m sure that was a charming change of scenery for them, but I was born into the frigid as well as I’m sick of it. A few weeks after I moved out, my dad called myself and others 1 morning asking for a favor. She needed help installing this up-to-date control device in the house, as well as needed a fresh set of eyes to see where she could’ve gone wrong in the installation. When I made it over to their house, my parents sat in their recliners in the dining room, smiling at myself and others as I walked into the house. As soon as I walked in, I noticed that the heating program was running. Wait, what? My parents, who swore off ever being moderate again, running the gas furnace? My parents laughed at my confused facial expression, as my Dad held up a remote as well as pointed it at a circular device on the wall. With a few clicks of a button, the sound of the gas furnace running came to a halt. That’s when my parents said they had a smart control device installed, which allowed them to adjust the temperature of the apartment on the go. I smiled, finally, as well as asked if this meant they would finally let the apartment moderate up. “No way!” My dad chimed in, “We just wanted to show off the up-to-date temperature control.” Only fifteen minutes passed before I decided to leave, as my parents let the temperature in the apartment drop back into the low sixties.
