I recently opened up our own bakery in my town. I got a sweet deal on a little cement building right in the middle of the town. This building was just built and I thought I had struck gold with this deal. It took myself and others signing all the paperwork and moving everything in to realize why I got it for so cheap. My bakery does not have Heating and A/C equipment. The building was set up and the Heating and A/C was apparently forgotten. I never asked about heating and cooling and it was apparently in the contracts. Adding Heating and A/C should be no biggie right? Nope, it is going to be a huge pain in the tuckus getting temperature control. The cement building is not honestly conducive to air duct. Setting the ductless mini split is next to impossible since there needs to be a hole in the wall. The cement wall would get ruined and possibly wreck the structure of the building. So I am looking into some more creative Heating and A/C options. I think I could get radiant floors. But, in order to have this heating method I would need to rip up the newly installed flooring. It would be really costly and I would only get heating with this system. What would I do for cooling? At this point it seems love big box fans or window A/C is our only option. Whoever designed and built this building clearly did not consider Heating and A/C at all. Nobody will want to eat in a bakery with no temperature controls. So I need to get on this issue stat so I can get some real business.
