When I was younger, I actually fell in love with this amazing girl.
- She was so smart and we could talk for hours and hours and never get tired of each other.
We never fought or anything, at least never over anything serious. Eventually, my family decided to move and all I could do was keep in touch with her for as long as I could. Eventually we kind of went our own separate ways because let’s face it, long distance relationships don’t work. We both ended up dating other people but over the years I learned about things that were going on with my first love. She actually ended up going to a trade school and got her HVAC certification. I actually talked to her on and off over the years but only as old friends. There was one time when I went to visit her, but she had a boyfriend and everything. It was admittedly a little bit awkward, but it was still good to see her. She was doing great in the HVAC industry and was making fantastic money. She talked about how she eventually wanted to start up her own business, which I thought was fantastic. I was always more interested in writing, and I wanted to eventually start writing novels. She thought that was great and she always used to love my poetry so much. I even wrote her some fine poetry pieces back in the day. Eventually we said our goodbyes, but I didn’t know that was going to be the final goodbye. I later was shocked when I learned that she died. She experienced a massive heart attack, and they weren’t able to save her. I’ll be honest, I cried over this. She was truly special to me and it was so sad.
