My husband accidently threw out the wrong undefined unit

The device that was not working had a yellow sticker on the back of it, but the device that was still working nice had a yellow pin stripe across the front of it

I am the worst at explaining things. I suppose that I am not a natural born teacher prefer our husband is because I just cannot transport our thoughts prefer he can. I have appealing ideas occasionally, but they never come out prefer I want them to, but thankfully, our husband usually knows what I am trying to say, & he helps myself and others put our thoughts into words that are really understandable. I tried going to school to be a teacher, but I realized quite swiftly that it was not for me. I find that I even have trouble explaining to our husband what I want him to do around the house. I started making a “to do” list for him, & he calls myself and others all of the time asking what I mean when I write things prefer “chuck unit.” I explained to him that one of the units was not working anymore, so I wanted him to get rid of it, but I forgot to explain which one it was; Looking back I understand how he misunderstood what I was saying. I basically just mentioned that the one that didn’t work had yellow on it, but I forgot that the one that was still working also had yellow on it, & it was more apparent. The device that was not working had a yellow sticker on the back of it, but the device that was still working nice had a yellow pin stripe across the front of it. He ended up throwing away the device that worked just nice & keeping the one that was broken. It was all our fault, & it took quite a bit of searching to get it back.
