So the weather here where we live is super hot this summer.
Even though it’s getting toward the end of the summer when it’s supposed to be cooling off, it’s really not yet.
I actually think it’s been heating up over the past two weeks! That’s weird weather, in my opinion. I don’t understand it, but it seems like whenever the weather is heating up, my son always wants to spend more and more time outside. It never fails that when I want to go inside and relax in the air conditioning, he wants to go out and get hot and sweaty. I hate being hot and sweaty, and I explained to him that people invented A/C for a reason. The whole reason that we have central air conditioning in our house is because of hot summer days. Normally, people will turn down their thermostats and stay inside in the A/C when the weather is sweltering. But not my son! Nope, those days when the thermometer is all red are the very days when he wants to go out and head to the zoo or the beach or something like that. I always tell him that I’ll take him wherever he wants to go, but sometimes I’ll just stay in the car with the air conditioner running. Maybe kids just aren’t affected by the weather as much as adults are. I know that my son doesn’t exactly plan his activities around whether or not a location has a central air conditioning system or not! But I definitely have noticed lately that I’m much more likely to go somewhere with good indoor air quality than a place with no A/C at all.
