I finally spent the extra money on adding a whole home air purification system to our Heating & A/C unit.
- This has been something that both my partner & I have considered doing for numerous years.
Both of us have suffered from allergies all of our lives. And while our HEPA filters for the Heating & A/C have been helpful, it didn’t completely eradicate the problems for us. Plus, since both of us lived in an area where the Heating & A/C is running one way or another all year, both of us dealt with pretty stale air in our house. That means a lot of recycled smells are still lingering in the air inside our home. This was a hassle for us occasionally and a bit of an embarrassment for us as well. My partner & I take a lot of pride in keeping our place really neat and clean and well organized. It has been sort of a rule that both of us want our place to be neat and clean enough to have company over at any time. But those stubborn smells have really messed with our efforts. And that was yet another factor in our initial considerations concerning adding a whole home air cleaner. Still, both of us just had a hard time justifying the expense of it because it cost us a lot. Well that all changed with the pandemic. Once both of us figured out just how important our indoor air quality was for our immune health & overall health, the cost of the Heating & A/C addition was justified for us. But until this health crisis, I hadn’t honestly made the link between Heating & A/C & our immune health. But it’s obvious to me now. With fantastic indoor air conditions, the immune system can’t always respond to assaults on our respiratory systems. It seemed simple to us then. Now I think the place is cleaner and smells better.
