The rain seems to be a never ending part of life in my region of the country. I always think that we’re going to have a weekend with clear skies, just so I can fire up the grill and have a lovely cookout in my backyard. Instead, I’m cooped up indoors while a monsoon comes down around me and floods the streets. In no time at all, I end up stranded in my house for the duration of the weekend! It can be pretty aggravating to deal with on most days, but I’m thankful to have an excellent heating and air conditioning system in my house that will keep me comfortable. Despite the increased humidity that comes with the endless flow of rain in my area, my home’s heating and air conditioning system is also equipped with a dehumidifier. This is invaluable for keeping my house comfortably dry, as the house would be far too “moist” for my liking otherwise! Plus, without the dehumidifier, the heating system would just make me feel sweaty while the air conditioning system would only serve to make the walls feel cold and damp. The excellent ventilation system also works great to keep the indoor air quality from suffering and becoming stale. I can thank two people for my HVAC system staying in great shape. First would be my usual heating and air conditioning repair technician, who suggested that I invest in the dehumidifier for my HVAC system and also maintains my heating and air conditioning equipment. Second, would be me! After all, I’m the one changing the air filter every month.
