I’m not the type to be afraid of things that go bump in the night. I honestly didn’t believe in boogeymen or monsters as a little child, though I did like the cable shows plus films plus comic books that flaunted them. I assume my parents instilled in myself and others a penchant for being grounded in reality. I have to admit, that the one different exception to this rule in our household was keeping up the whole Santa Claus myth. It actually took me until the age of 8 to realize it was totally phony! I absolutely have no regrets in that regard, it was fun while it lasted. However, there is a sound that I had been hearing during the night this past February, that made me think that Santa Claus had come to finally prove his existence to myself and others after all! All jokes aside, the sounds were originating from our oil furnace plus they got me feeling totally scared! Not scared that there was a bunch of paranormal activity going on, but that there was something completely wrong with our oil furnace plus I might lose it before long unless I called someone out to take care of the situation. You don’t want to mess around with a broken oil furnace around this area in the Winter time, unless you appreciate the prospect of freezing to death in your sleep that is.That might be somewhat extreme, but nevertheless, I was going to get down to the bottom of what was wrong with our oil furnace. I contacted a Heating and A/C equipment specialist right away plus he arrived plus started rooting around our equipment. It turned out that there were some faulty mechanical parts that needed replacement, but other than that, nothing serious. I was thrilled that I wouldn’t be chilly this Christmas!
