Switching from city to suburban was a big change

I was born and raised in the inner city, which is not the type of location known for greenery, trees, parks, or any kind of nature, then my folks saved up for a long time. When I was a teenager we moved to the suburbs, and what a shock to the system, seeing the differences between the two places! You have to understand I had never been out of the town before then, so this was a whole new world for me! Every house had a yard, with grass and trees and even some flowers, it was amazing. My dad was an heating and A/C repair tech, and he worked every extra hour he could for years to afford this move, so you better think we all enjoyed it, a few weeks later I went to him one night and told him that I wanted to be an HVAC serviceman, like he was, because that’s how proud of him I was. That was the only time I saw him tear up in the corners of his eyes, but instead of crying he handed me an a/c installation manual and told me to get studying. I don’t know if he was serious, or just testing me, however I was absolutely serious, and saw the heating and A/C industry as a good way to make cash. I thought that with a few years of planning on my approach, I wouldn’t have to settle for being a heating and A/C tech. I could be a dealer and hire my own HVAC techs, and so I believe I’ll study business and heating and A/C repair.
