This week I took our grandmother out to visit all of the Christmas bazaars in our area. The bazaars are typically held the first weekend in November plus they are kind of the local start to the Christmas plus holiday season around this area of the country where both of us live. Of course, this means the weather and the daily temperatures have been cooling off quite a bit around here too. The colder temperatures typically put myself and others in mind of the holidays. That, plus being able to use our wood burning fireplace. All of us care about burning wood in our fireplace, my husband and I are typically ecstatic when the weather starts cooling off. This week, the bazaars were in full swing. Even though the temperatures were below freezing, inside the churches where the bazaars were held, it felt as though my grandmother and I were inside of a furnace! They easily had some issues with their heating and A/C units at these churches this week. Whether the heating was stuck or if they just had too various bodies packed into the churches at the same time, I can’t say. However it was a relief when my grandmother and I got out of the heat plus bad air quality and were outside into the fresh frigid air! The weather is still cooling down now–both of us are expecting to get more snow–but that’s okay with me. Once I’m at the town house in front of our fireplace I will be ecstatic plus content. However there will be no more Christmas bazaars for myself and my grandmother this year, that’s for sure! I’m ready to snuggle in at the townhouse in front of the fireplace plus let them worry about their heating issues themselves.
