Last summertime, I had some concerns with my a/c. The cooling system is rather old, & a;; of us were experiencing unusually hot & humid weather. The a/c was running non stop & struggling to keep up with demand. I should have lowered the thermostat a bit. The a/c ended up quitting in the middle of the night. The following day, I called my familiar Heating, Ventilation & A/C contractor for repair. Because of the heatwave, & the multiple concerns with a/cs in the local area, they were completely booked. They could not offer an appointment for more than two weeks. I then started reading reviews of the other Heating, Ventilation & A/C companies in the city & contacting all the 1s which were highly rated. None of them could supply an immediate appointment. I then settled for an Heating, Ventilation & A/C contractor with rather questionable reviews. People claimed that this particular dealer never showed up on time, tracked dirt through the house & failed to clean up discarded device & materials. I figured I could live with terrible customer service, however I was unwilling to go without a working a/c. I was able to schedule an appointment for the following day. I was rather surprised when the A/C worker showed up right on time. He was dressed in uniform, unquestionably polite & prepared for the task. He kept a neat & tidy worksite, kept me informed of the progress, & gave a detailed estimate. The worker had the a/c up & running within the hour. When I mentioned the terrible reviews online, he told me that the dealer was under modern ownership. They had hired all new workers & completely changed their supplier standards.
