When I was doing research at the school library, there were some things that bothered me. First of all, the climate control system settings were not so comfortable. The library felt a little too overheated and that made it difficult to focus on the research I was trying to do. I was actually looking on the web for various HVAC companies for my writing assignment. I was trying to write about the benefits of modern heating and cooling technology. The thing that was really stressing was the fact that the internet at the school library was very restricted. A majority of the HVAC websites that I tried to access were blocked and I really didn’t understand why. Eventually I went to the librarian to ask why I couldn’t view most of the heating and cooling websites. The librarian was not entirely sure but said that perhaps the word “heat” could be considered a sexually explicit risk. I thought that was absolutely ridiculous and asked if there was a way to get around that. Perhaps they could unblock the sites I was trying to access, but she said there was nothing that could be done. Evidently, I was going to have to do most of my research at home where the internet wasn’t severely restricted like the library. I figured it was better this way anyway because I didn’t know how much longer I could hang out in that library without some needed air conditioning. When I got home, I was easily able to access all the information I needed for my assignment and it was way more comfortable in my household.
