The overtime hours are making me very tired

They brought me a cup of coffee and a fresh bagel from the deli

My wife and I want to take the kids to Disney World this winter, so I have been working overtime every weekend this summer to make some extra money. I know it’s going to cost fortune to enjoy the park. There are always overtime hours during the summer, because it is the busiest time of the year for the HVAC repair company where I work. Summer is always busy, because we have incredibly hot temperatures and humid weather. The daytime temperatures are at least 90 degrees and sometimes we hit 100. I have been working every Saturday for the past six weeks. Working 6 days a week adds a couple of extra hundred dollars to my paycheck, but it only leaves me one day every week to recover. Last week I worked 12 hours on Saturday. I was installing a ductless HVAC unit for one of our customers. The job was supposed to take 4 hours, but I ran into a ton of problems. I didn’t finish with the ductless HVAC installation job until dinner time. I went to bed early on Saturday night and I slept until noon on Sunday. I didn’t even get up to go to church with my wife and the kids. I was only getting out of bed when they arrived home. They brought me a cup of coffee and a fresh bagel from the deli. I’ll be happy when summer is over, so I can go back to working 5 days a week. The money and overtime is really nice, but I’m looking forward to a second day of rest every week.
