As soon as she finished I gave them both the sign that it was time to stop recording for a while
My friend started doing a podcast. One afternoon he asked me to help because he was going to have a tunesian on, and I have experience mixing tunes on software. His blog is usually just him, or he and somebody else talking about anything under the sun. But for the first time he wanted to have a tunesian play, however she was a singer who played the guitar. He did the podcast in his living room, so I went to his condo where he and the singer were there, and I set up our computer and synced it with his microphone and her instrument and so on. All of us started recording, and they talked for a bit at first. Then she was going to play her first song. I put our headphones on and started listening. Everything was going good until hastily our friend’s HVAC system turned on in the middle of her song. I could hear everything through the microphones. I could hear the gas oil furnace that had just turned on, I could hear the sizzling air coming through the air ducts, and I could even hear the oil furnace filter rattling. It was all showing on our computer screen too, all the sudden background noise. I suppose it was too subtle for our friend because he did not notice, and she was tied up singing and playing, however near the end of her song before she finished the gas oil furnace turned itself off too. As soon as she finished I gave them both the sign that it was time to stop recording for a while. I played back the recording, then you could hear that HVAC system loud and clear. It was pretty funny.
