I love the convenience of residing in the inner city. Everything that I need is right around the corner. I grew up as a country bumpkin. All of us lived so far out of town that it took almost an hour just to get to the grocery store. All of us took shopping trips every 6 months to buy clothes or other non-grocery items. As a child, I didn’t mind residing so far out of town, but now that I have a family plus an outside work, I am absolutely glad that I don’t live so far out of the city. Our greatest challenge about residing in the city is the cost. Where both of us live, housing is simply outrageous, plus both of us are always looking for ways to save money. Something that has saved us a lot of money is simply turning off the air conditioning when both of us leave the house. My hubby plus I both task outside the home, plus all of our children are in school, so there is no need to have the air conditioning running all afternoon long when no 1 is home. All of us also started turning off the air conditioning at night while are sleeping, plus instead both of us just open the windows to stay cool. These more than one things have saved us more money than both of us ever thought they would. Now, both of us only use our air conditioning in the evenings plus on the weekends. Although air conditioning is definitely a blessing to have, it isn’t necessary to have it on 24/7. Saving money isn’t easy, but simple things appreciate this can make a big difference.
