You gotta have a rug in your bathroom if you live way up North. My mom lives in the South and her whole home is tile, because it’s warm year round so it’s never an issue, but where I live, a tile floor is just asking for trouble. I like to think I can take the cold, but once my feet get cold, all bets are off. The only way to solve it is with precious hot water–no amount of socks or slippers will make my feet wamer. I’ve grown used to just taking a hot bath everyday in the Wintertime–my rent includes the water bill anyway so it’s no big deal. It used to be a drag for me to get out, because I never wanted to leave the warmth, however, my new home has made it easier to get out of the bath, because my landlord set up the bathroom like a genius. It’s a small little bathroom, just enough space for what you need, little more. However she gave the bathroom its own HVAC zone control and placed the drying rod for the towels over the radiator for the electric heating. What this means is, I can turn the heat on when I go to take a bath, and the heat not only warms up the whole bathroom lickity split–it rises to the towel hanging above it. Now when I get out of the shower or the bath, the towels are so soft and warm, I love it!. I’ve never thought to do this before–my landlord is so inventive..
