I recently tried to schedule a repair for our gas furnace! It was making a peculiar noise, running for longer cycles plus not putting out as much heated air.
I needed to turn up the control component multiple times plus still there were rooms in the cabin that felt frosty, however when I called a local Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C supplier, I ended up getting extremely aggravated.
My call was answered by an automated repair that required myself and others to listen to prompts plus then push multiple buttons to get through the menus. It took myself and others a long time to schedule an appointment, however during the whole process, I never spoke with an actual person; There was no way to ask questions or explain our complications with our gas furnace. I was given limited choices for the day plus time of the appointment plus then a six-hour window of arrival. I had no option however to take the day off from toil plus wait for the worker to show up. I didn’t dare run any errands or do anything that might lead to myself and others missing her arrival. I knew that the worker would eventually call to let myself and others suppose she was finally on her way, but I had no idea if he’d contact myself and others at several in the afternoon or several o’clock in the evening. I was so sad that I’d miss the call plus our appointment would get cancelled. I easily didn’t want to beginning the process all over again. When the worker finally arrived at our door, she didn’t offer to take off her shoes, she tracked dirt across our carpet. When the job was complete, she left behind a mess. There were discarded parts from the gas furnace plus packaging from the new parts to wash up. Because of this total lack of consideration, I didn’t trust the toil she performed. She still charged myself and others a small fortune for the repair; Although I have a warranty on our gas furnace plus the parts were covered, I am responsible for the cost of the labor. I also sacrificed an entire day to the repair call. When I called to complain about the awful service, I wasn’t able to speak with a live lady. I am genuinely disappointed that the repair industry has become so impersonal.
