Using heat to improve work

Due to the virus, I have lost my job and have pretty much been in isolation since then.

I have been able to find a part time online job, so I have been working and still being able to make money. I thought that working at home was going to be incredibly easy, but it turns out it wasn’t nearly as nice and easy as I thought it would be. I had a hard time finding the motivation to actually start working and even once I do start working, I find it even harder to continue working. One of my biggest problems apart from motivation, is the lack of heat in my home. Usually the lack of heat doesn’t bother me, but apparently it really badly affects my work ethic. I tried working for a few weeks and it just was really bad. I was barely doing the minimum, and even that was a struggle. I knew I couldn’t continue like this any longer, so I started wearing a jacket when I would work, and that helped some. The biggest improvement though was turning up my furnace. My heating system I usually keep on a lower setting as I don’t really need a heater in the springtime, I usually use the AC instead. This time however, I couldn’t work without some form of heating. My fingers would literally be frozen and not type on the keyword. I would also move at a much slower pace as well, but after I turned up the heat, my fingers unfroze and I was able to stay warm and my working improved. After that, everything became much easier and I was able to work efficiently and quickly.
